Iyer ParameswaranI began learning Mridangam initially and later Konnakol very early in life, from my father Shri Bombay Kalyanakrishnan, my first Guru. After completing the basic course I took advanced training under Shri Thanjavur Upendran under whom I was trained not only in Mridangam but also in Konnakol. Shri Upendran also taught the intricate aspects of teaching and imparting training to others.
In order to encxourage my interest in learning Ghatam, Shri Upendran requested Shri Palakkad Sundaram to train me in the art of Ghatam playing.
With the blessings of God, I have accompanied several Artistes of National & International repute in musical concerts. Some prominent personalities are:

I have also accompanied on the Mridangam and Ghatam in

I have also performed at several leading musical festivals in India such as, Banganga Festival, Kala Ghoda Festival, Shriman Dagdu Sheth Ganpati Festival at Pune, Musical Concerts before His Holiness Shankaracharyas of Sringeri Mutt Sri Abhinava Vidya Theerta and Sri Bharati Teertha Swamijis
